OPTIMUS

OPTIMUS offers a drop-in replacement for standard inductions motors with all the performance of a permanent magnet motor.  Optimus is designed to work in higher horsepower applications and pairs with the industry standard REDA style seals and pumps.  Customers can take advantage of permanent magnet performance in sizes up to 360 hp with no special drives and minimal training. Our proprietary design makes the switch to PM motors from Induction easy!

The AC permanent magnet motor has been slow to catch on as an electric submersible pump motor, mostly because of cost, control issues and reliability.  In order to capitalize on the improved power and efficiency of these motors, the operator has to adopt special drives and drive programing in order to overcome the obstacles posed by high horsepower applications.  For some customers, these drives are cost prohibitive as well as the training and personnel needed to service the complicated controls. ElectromagnetiX has removed these obstacles to make the switch to PMAC motors easy.
